| Details: | my client are looking for an experienced interface engineer to join the company on a staff or contract basis to provide support to a variety of projects. duties & responsibilities: -define and ensure control of all interfaces that exist for a given project/contract scope of work. this relates both internally (e.g. between disciplines and sites) and between the contractor and other contractors/operators (e.g. wellhead equipment supplier, topsides main contractor)-establish full scope of work, and confirm all external interfaces, where the company's work will ultimately tie-in or be affected. contact and communications are to be established direct to these companies and client-develop an interface management system. maintain and manage an interface log-overview the completion of scope of supply and definition of mrs-review specifications, data sheets, drawings and relevant standards-review bids for consideration of technical content-compile technical clarifications to go to suppliers-organise revision of specifications, data sheets, drawings on bid clarification meetings, prior to po award-liaise with supplier on all package issues, as single point of communication-expedite and review supplier documents-ensure products will be delivered by monitoring supplier's fabrication progress to agreed schedule-determine inspection requirements and interfaces required by discipline engineers-review certification data book-carry out supplier performance evaluation specified qualifications for position: engineering, quality or business •· demonstrable experience in dealing with subcontracts and logistics in a technical field is also required. location: south uk salary: rate will be negotiable. please apply for this urgent opportunity asap. all applications will be given immediate consideration. |
