cost analyst

my international oil and gas client based in surrey requires an experienced cost analyst.

•  ideally you will have experience in a subsea background, however this is not vital.

responsibilities -the candidate is expected to perform main variance analysis of contribution margin, monitoring the productivity and other initiatives effects driven by functions/operations-take the key ownership to control and analyze the financial performance of projects in terms of sales, cost and contribution margin.-make effective presentation and communication to relevant departments of the project profitability.-project costing and relevant analysis.-work with all department`s cost analysis team initiatives for product cost analysis and determination of the cost   trends of the main commodities.

qualifications -accountant / university degree qualified.-experience in cost accounting, cost analysis (finance, functions or operations) -acquaintance with oil & gas products in terms of scope of supplies, cost structure and bill of material structure -ability to collect, organize and analyze data coming from different sources/databases -knowledge of basic statistic (six sigma tools)-attitude to teamwork in inter-functional teams -good communication skills -strong it skills in using ms excel -ms access and business object and oracle mrp platform

location: south uk

salary: rate will be negotiable.
