My Client, an International Contractor require a Design HSSE Manager to be UK based.

Reporting to the Project HSSE Manager (FEED Project), duties will include:

Roles and Responsibilities as follows:

1. Advise the Project Management Team (PMT) on best HSSE practice.

2. Ensure Project Policy, the Project HSSE Plan and HSSE related Procedures are implemented, reviewed and updated as required.

3. Proven experience of managing HSSE in a complex, multi-risk environment in the Oil and Gas Industry.

4. Communicate with all parts of the Project where necessary directing them to take steps or courses of action as shall be necessary to ensure compliance with statutory HSSE requirements, Project policy or HSSE procedures.

5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

6. Strong leadership skills and an ability to apply knowledge and experience to propose solutions to HSSE related problems.

7. Pragmatic but with strong commitment to absolute standards.

8. Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and persistence in the achievement of goals and tasks and in dealing with changing Project priorities.

9. Familiar with the preparation of Design and Operational Safety Cases on the UK continental shelf and abroad. Experience in the preparation of COMAH safety cases and ESHIA Impact Assessments is considered highly desirable.

10. Familiar with QRA work and its influence and impact upon engineering design.11. Able to travel to site (for short duration) in an HSSE capacity should the need arise on the Project.

Applicants should be willing to travel within the UK and for short trips overseas in support of project work.

Engineering /Technical Degree required. Experience of FEED and Extensive experience in Oil and Gas Safety Engineering is also required.
