My Client, an International Oil and Gas COntractor require a Lead Cost Estinator to be based in the UK

Scope of Responsibilities

Responsible to the Consultancy Manager with a functional responsibility to the E&C Commercial & Contracts Manger for establishing and administering the project requirements with regards to realistic and accurate cost estimating. This role is to lead the cost estimating function from a technical sense and to provide a leadership role to the team providing guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team. The role requires the individual to take ownership of all cost estimates across the organisation ensuring consistency and accuracy. Petrofac relies heavily on its cost estimating methodology and database as a differentiator and therefore it is essential that the candidate develops and maintains an up to date approach combined with the latest cost data often derived from the analysis of Petrofac delivered projects.

Responsible for compiling well researched competitive tenders, managing the estimate from enquiry receipt to tender submission and providing a wider Bid Management role as required. Particular emphasis of the role is to lead the CAPITAL COST estimating function for both short duration conceptual studies and longer term FEED studies.

Engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification with sound estimating experience gained either in a Contractor or Operating Company environment on oil & gas or petrochemical full EPC projects. You should have a sound awareness and understanding of how Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Transport & Installation, HUC & SU and Finance integrate into the estimating function
