| Details: | My international multi-discipline engineering, geomatics and planning consulting client requires the services of an experienced Project Manager for this position based in Alberta, Canada. Roles / Responsibilities: - Manage transportation projects with fees >$1M.
- Provide exceptional service to clients relating to bridges and transportation structures in connection with major roadway and interchange projects.
- Apply established project management processes in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables, schedules and budget objectives are met.
- Prepare of documentation related to current or prospective projects; including reports, cost estimates, proposals and specifications.
- In consultation with Senior Manager, Transportation Structures, recommend, prepare, implement, report on and monitor structural design work plans, project/work schedules, budgets, and team utilization to meet the goals of the team.
- Provide engineering support on more difficult design/specification issues.
- Review and approve technical designs in conjunction with other engineering and technical staff.
Experience / Skills Required: - Experience in transportation and structures.
- Have a P.Eng. (APPEGA eligible) or equivalent accreditation in a related professional field.
- Have working knowledge with structural design software.
- Are familiar with provincial and municipal transportation standards in Alberta.
- Have experience with multi-firm, multi-office and multi-disciplinary projects.
- May provide leadership and direction with respect to performance management, training opportunities and ensure team goals are achieved with a strong emphasis on the goals of growth and profit.
- Have exceptional oral and written communication expertise which is complemented with a keen eye for detail and project management skills.
- Work well in teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
