| Details: | Position overview Our client is a Multidiscipline Engineering, Geomatics and Planning consulting firm with offices in major centers throughout western canada. they are currently seeking a senior project manager to join our calgary team. Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management group you will: - Manage land development or municipal projects over $1m in fees.Apply established project management processes in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables, schedules and budget objectives are met.
- Co-ordinate internal technical services including legal survey, storm water management, urban design, and construction services.
- Participate in and have the technical abilities to coordinate and prepare proposals, tenders and negotiate contracts and urban development infrastructure in calgary.
Requirements As the successful candidate you: Have a minimum 15 years related experience. - Professional engineer designation (P.ENG.).
- Have formal management training.
- Have experience with multi-firm, multi-office and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Provide leadership and direction to junior staff with respect to urban infrastructure, performance management, training opportunities and ensure branch goals are achieved with a strong emphasis on the business unit goals of growth and profit.
- Have exceptional oral and written communication expertise which is complimented with a keen eye for detail and project management skills.Ideally, are familiar with current city of calgary development guidelines, land use by-laws and technical specifications.
