My international multi-discipline engineering client based in Canada requires an experienced Land Development Engineer for this position based in Edmonton, Canada.

Roles / Responsibilities include:

• Be responsible for preparing subdivision and municipal civil engineering designs to local City of Calgary standards.
• Work closely with internal office groups including legal survey, storm water management, urban design, and related construction services.
• Providing assistance in the preparation of tender contract documents, field survey packages and engineering reports. 
• Ensure due diligence, work is reviewed to confirm approach and attainment of assigned objectives are met.

Skills / Experience required:

• Are experienced in the management of municipal and land development engineering projects.
• Ideally, are completely familiar with current City of Calgary development guidelines, technical specifications and land use by-laws.
• Have a strong technical background in the civil/municipal/infrastructure/transportation/storm water management sector. 
• Have solid technical capabilities in AutoCAD and/or Land Development Desktop software, an asset.
• May provide leadership and direction to junior staff with respect to performance management, training opportunities and ensure branch goals are achieved with a strong emphasis on the business unit goals of growth and profit.
• Have exceptional oral and written communication expertise which is complimented with a keen eye for detail.
