My international multi-discipline consulting client requires the services of an experienced Transportation Engineer for this position based in British Columbia, Canada.

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Liaise with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements;
• Plan and design major civil road projects;
• Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work;
• Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies or other investigations;
• Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for projects;
• Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates.

For this position you should have the following skills / experience:

• Extensive experience in Civil engineering with emphasis on municipal infrastructure design in subdivisions;
• Have experience in project cost estimating, quality management, contract specifications and tender package preparation;
• Have good written and oral communication skills;
• Demonstrate leadership attributes; 
• Work well in a project team and can provide technical direction to a design team
