My Canadian based Client; a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm has a requirement for a Roadway Design Project Manager.
Requirements
Have 10+ years’ related experience in transportation planning and design.
Have a P.Eng. (APPEGA eligible) or equivalent accreditation in a related professional field.
Have working knowledge with highway design software.
Are familiar with provincial and municipal transportation standards in Alberta.
Have experience with multi-firm, multi-office and multi-disciplinary projects.
May provide leadership and direction with respect to performance management, training opportunities and ensure team goals are achieved with a strong emphasis on the teams goals of growth and profit.
Have exceptional oral and written communication expertise which is complimented with a keen eye for detail and project management skills.
Work well in teams in a multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities Reporting to Senior Manager, Roadway Design you will:
Manage major roadway and interchange projects with fees > $1M..
Apply established project management processes in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables, schedules and budget objectives are met.
Prepare of documentation related to current or prospective projects; including reports, cost estimates, proposals and specifications.
In consultation with Senior Manager, Roadways Design, recommend, prepare, implement, report on and monitor roadway design transportation work plans, project/work schedules, budgets, and team utilization to meet the goals of the transportation team.
Provide engineering support on more difficult design/specification issues.
Review and approve technical designs in conjunction with other engineering and technical staff.
