| Details: | My client has an immediate vacancy for a Pipelay Systems Project Manager to work in their Aberdeen office. The purpose of the role is to manage and support the project team during the design, construction, equipment installation, commissioning & offshore pipelay trial phases. This includes the efficient day to day execution of the project and technical management of contractors. Key activities will include but not be limited to: - Liaise with and assist the Technical Manager/Pipelay System Engineers, and other internal departments in connection with Pipelay Equipment Basic & Detailed Design, Design Reviews and preparation of specifications for the Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Testing Scopes of Work for the project
- Manage the Pipelay equipment contractors, Liaise with the Classification Society and Regulatory bodies to ensure that the Pipelay equipment is delivered according to specification and within the allocated budget
- Familiarisation of the contract, inspection and test plans and ensuring compliance of these documents
- Liaison with Technical manager and Individual Project Team Members as required with regard to Technical Queries, Site Queries, Site Instructions / Clarifications, Design Change Review, Variation Order Request, Variation Order, Contract Options and Approval of Documents including Drawings using the DRR system
- Supervise the nominated Aberdeen & Site teams and agree with the project director if manning levels suitable to achieve milestones
- Ensure project management risk assessments are undertaken for all Pipelay equipment scopes of work in-house and by contractors/suppliers
- Organise progress meetings internally and with contractors including 3rd parties to include but not limited to: internal engineering status, project action list status, project schedule, pipelay contractors engineering status, contractors planning, QHSES issues, variation status, review of milestones and invoices
- Compile and transmit Pipelay system contractors daily, weekly and monthly reports to include but not limited to: areas of concern, costs, schedule and QHSES issues
- Management of interfaces for the Pipelay equipment installation, commissioning and testing onboard the Newbuild Pipelay Vessel
- Responsible for compliance of Health, Safety, Environment and Security rules and regulations during construction, installation, commissioning and testing operations for the Pipelay equipment
