My client is an international subsea contractor specialising in the trenching and installation of subsea cables and pipelines.  Due to recent expansion, they now have an immediate vacancy for a Proposals Leader.   

Degree qualified preferred (though not essential) competent Microsoft Project & Office Suite user, with at least 1-2 years tendering experience preferably within the Offshore Oil & Gas sector. 

Flexible, proactive and effective team player, demonstrating excellent communication skills (verbal and written), you will be able to organize and prioritise workloads, effectively balance multiple priorities and resources, and working to tight deadlines - remain focused under pressure.  

Responsible for the development, preparation and submission of winning tenders to customers whilst safeguarding the company’s commercial interests during sales, tendering and contract negotiation phases of any project to include:   

• Review of customer ITT and definition of customer / tender requirements, dissemination of same to all relevant internal parties
• Prepare and issue any necessary enquiries for sub-contract goods and services
• Preparation of tender pricing / costs for review and approval
• Prepare documentation for Tender submission
• Evaluate incoming tenders from sub-contractors / suppliers. Issue, evaluate and normalise 3rd party requests for quotation as may be required
• Clearly define the scope of work of the various departments in order to ensure that they are aware of the workload expected and are capable of meeting the defined Tender Milestones
• As single point of Contact for Client on a particular Tender, ensure all post Tender Clarifications are addressed
• Involvement in customer negotiations in conjunction with and resulting from tender submission, ensuring focus and schedule maintenance
• Assist with assigning responsibility and handing over successful tenders to the project manager assigned
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of standardised tender qualifications
