| Details: | My client is an international subsea contractor specialising in the trenching and installation of subsea cables and pipelines. Due to recent expansion, they have an immediate requirement for a Health & Safety Advisor. Candidates should be professionally qualified (NEBOSH Diploma or similar in Health and Safety), with COSHH Risk assessment qualification and experience, you will have at least 5 years experience working within a Health & Safety department, preferably within the onshore/offshore construction industry, and demonstrate working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Current Offshore Survival certification would be advantageous though not essential as training can be provided. Computer literate (Microsoft Office: typically Word/Outlook/Excel) you will demonstrate good communication skills (verbal and written), and will be able to prioritise workloads, multi-task manage and remain focused under pressure. Whilst the position is primarily based at their Darlington office, successful candidates must be prepared to travel to other sites and to undertake occasional offshore assignment. The role of the Health & Safety Advisor is to work within the QHS&E department and actively execute and promote the processes within the established HS&E management system summarized as:
