My international Oil and Gas client requires an experienced Civil Engineering Coordinator for this role based in Nigeria. This role will be working on a resident basis in Nigeria ie. no rotation. However there will be company paid flights for you and family (if applicable). This position can be family status for the first 9 months but will be single status as the position goes out in the field.
You will be responsible for overseeing / coordinating / management of the engineering of buildings for the Oil and Gas industry.
You should have good knowledge and experience of the Management of Engineering for buildings. Previous experience must include working in a similar role in Nigeria.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of detailed engineering activities for a new onshore base camp.
- Act as company representative in the engineering subcontractor office located in Nigeria (Port Harcourt/Lagos).Coordinate answers to Technical Queries raised by contractor / subcontractor with the support of Engineering Team and vice versa.
- Ensure compliance with technical scope of work, with applicable codes & standards and for General Specifications.
- Ensure Technical / Contractual interfaces between Third Party Authority and Contractor.
- Ensure appointed architect is involved on all subjects relating to their discipline.
