PROCUREMENT ENGINEER - (PARIS THEN NIGERIA 6x2 ROTATION)

My international Oil and Gas client based in Paris requires an experienced Procurement Engineer for this position that is initially based in Paris and will then move to Nigeria on a 6x2 rotation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Comment on Contractor’s documents (Procurement, Discipline Technical Evaluations, Project Management Documents) in due time.
Liaise with engineers if required in order to facilitate the review and comments process for Contractor and Contractor Vendor documents.
Participation at Procurement progress meetings on an as required basis, ensure procurement related issues are addressed and satisfactorily.
Prepare contracts for services, issue call for tenders, technical evaluation, commercial analysis, negotiation, recommendations to award and final contract for signature.
Liaise with other disciplines in order to ensure consistency of the work
Participate in Contractor monthly progress meetings with sub contractors for sub ordered main equipment and ensure Contractor is following up all outstanding issues from previous meetings, inspection, documentation, progress measurement, sub orders, spare parts, procurement procedurescompliance.

OTHER ACTIVITIES :

Ensure an accurate reporting of his activities within the Company organization / Hierarchy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND

The ideal candidate should have previous experience, as Procurement Engineer, ideally within an operator environment.
Software : SAP/PRODOM
Good Negotiation Skills
