generic roles & responsibilities:provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.understand clients' needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implement solutions.independently evaluate, organise and prioritise work for self and others.undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to do, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.sign and issue technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development.work with associated subsea related disciplines and manage the interfaces within a project environment.train / mentor more junior engineers.specific roles & responsibilities:comply with package management wpid (work process interface diagram), which demonstrates the interaction of the process maps.overview the completion of scope of supply and raising of mr.review specification, additional data sheet, drawings and relevant standards prior to bep. review bids for technical aspects together with discipline engineers.organise compilation of technical clarifications to go to supplier.organise revision of specifications, data sheets, drawings on bid clarification meetings, prior to po award.review itp / qa plan prior to ppm.attend ppm as team leader.supplier document control:
liaise with supplier on all package issues, ie. single point of communication.expedite supplier documents to agree list in sdrl / spec.review all supplier documents and determine list for distribution.policy on vendor inspection:
review concessions / ddr.ensure products will be delivered by following supplier's fabrication progress to agreed schedule.together with qa engineer determine inspection requirements and interfaces required by discipline engineers.
policy vendor/supplier control:
review certification data book.carry out supplier performance evaluation.
additionally:direct the supplier/vendor along with buyer and qa engineer on behalf of project managerreport verbally on a day-to-day basis to project manager. presentationpersonal presentation: presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role communication presentation: articulates views in comprehensive manner work presentation: produces work of presentable quality
