Position: Contracts Engineer / Manager

Basis: Contract

Rate: circa € 750 per day

Based: Paris then Nigeria

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or commercial related field.

Ideal Experience:

Good technical knowledge.
Experience of Operator contract management in the Petroleum industry and E&P activities, good commercial acumen and negotiation skills, good command of both spoken and written English.
Knowledge of forms of standard contract and general principles of law operating in the UK. Knowledge of international subcontracting. Overseas experience preferred.
The ideal candidate should also have Contracts Variation and Claims Management/Defense experience, have the ability to offer flexible approach in handling complex commercial matters is required. Be able to monitor planning and cost activities, including cost reporting.
Candidate must be able to work in a demanding environment, where the ability to prioritise activities and satisfy a variety of commercial demands within internationally varied cultures is paramount. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
