My Client, an International Oil and Gas Operator require the services of an Engineering Coordinator to be based in Paris, France.
LOCATION: Paris La Défense for 2/3 months then Nigeria (Lagos rotation 6 weeks on 2 weeks off))
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
To manage and coordinate all facets of the Basic Engineering related to the new 42” gas pipeline designcase.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
To manage the design contractor on all day to day engineering activities associated with the detailedengineering of a 42” gas pipeline project. Responsible for ensuring all deliverables are submitted to, and approved, by Total technical specialists beforeEngineering Coordinator approves same. Anticipatory awareness of Total’s 15 day document approvalperiods, and improving upon this timeframe wherever practicable. Ensure final engineering documentation is fully in accordance with contract requirements and finaldocumentation CD’s are populated with all deliverables necessary for an EPC Tender submittal. Work with contractor to oversee that all Total and Shell DEP requirements (wherever applied) are included into final design documentation and drawings. Attend weekly engineering meetings and ad-hoc meetings to ensure project is meeting schedule & budget. Also to follow up on all pending / problem areas expediently until final close out.To meet Total Project Management and appraise them of design contractor’s current schedule and status on a weekly basis. Shall assist contractor with pipeline engineering issues and use Total technical specialists as the approval parties for integrity design decisions.To sign off document comment sheets for technical specialists and the like.Work in close liaison with Document Control Department
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
All reasonable requirements expected of such an important position in a large international organisation.Support Site Construction Team members in design decisions which may have a direct impact on construction techniquesat site.
