My Client, an International Oil and Gas Operator require the services of an Engineering Coordinator to work on a Fuelled Gas Power Plant Project, to be based in Abu Dhabi.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In charge of coordinating the engineering for two projects, and other projects as requested
Participate in two main projects: FG Power Plant and 6¡¨ gas line to PEC project. The level of progress for individual projects will vary, typically, from Pre-Engineering to Detail Engineering and on to Construction.

SAFETY :

Implements the Company HSE rules and specifications throughout the activities
Controls Contractor's achievements in accordance with contractual requirements in all areas involving safety
Ensures safe working practices are carried out within the project team

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

Provides technical assistance to project manager and advice in developing and coordinating the required engineering studies
Coordinates the discipline engineer part of the project team for the concerned project
Helps disciplines engineers in their discipline when they face difficulties
Checks that the design is developed in line with the Pre-Engineering, Project statement of requirements, COMPANY General Specifications and ensure that all comments, as agreed, are duly incorporated by Engineering Contractor
Ensures that Review and comment of the documents issued by the Engineering Contractor are performed on time and on a regular basis.
Liaises with discipline engineers, engineering co-ordinators, engineering contractor, vendors, as required, in support of the progress of Engineering activities.
Liaises with project Specialist in head office to get the necessary support for specific technical points.
Reports to the Project Manager on a regular basis and provide a weekly report to Management regarding engineering activities

OTHER ACTIVITIES

To make the necessary technical arbitration between the different disciplines in case of conflict interests and keep all parties informed
Liaises with Site Representative to collect necessary data for the project

Resident status, 1 year renewable contract (subject to the length of project)

Experience in power plant would be an advantage
