introduction
the position of logistics co-ordinator reports directly to the procurement & logistics manager.
responsibilities and duties
the responsibilities of the logistics co-ordinator shall include, but are not limited to, those contained in the following:
*co-ordination of all project requirements including equipment and material requests to the sap team.*liaison with all internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of material and services to project related vessels in local ports or worldwide locations.*management of the appointed marine port and freight forwarding agents to ensure they are providing the required level of service to the vessels and projects.*to compile and retain all relevant documentation pertaining to the project related operations.*to ensure that all h.m.customs and dti rules and regulations are met and recorded to protect the clients activities at all times.*to provide 24 hours support to the vessel and projects and on as required basis onsite co ordination at locations in the uk and abroad.*procurement and delivery co ordination of marine fuels as and when required by the sonsub fleet of vessels.*compiling, checking of third party vendor invoices and forwarding to sap account teams for payment preparation. *conduct all activities within the integrated management system.
qualification and experience
the following are the minimum qualifications for the position of logistics co-ordinator however, they are to be used as guidelines only as each individual shall be judged on their individual qualifications and experience.
education
good secondary education and be familiar with windows 95/98, word and excel software.
