main duties & responsibilities:

working within a multidiscipline engineering design and reporting to the engineering manager.involved in specification, detailed design and class approval of a number of discreet control packages that will be linked to common hmi. the project involves the first known class approval of systems for this particular critical sustaining application. the role is likely to include technical responsibility for electronic and control system installation on board vessels and offshore platforms and will involve some onsite working.

key duties include but are not limited to

preparation of technical specificationstechnical liaison and monitoring of sub contractors design of electronic systems ensuring compliance with project specifications ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed preparation of design and installation specifications preparation of manuals and procedures preparation of design calculations manufacture, testing and commissioning support installation, commissioning, start-up and operational support submissions to and liaison with class society

experiencegeneral: demonstrable experience of team leadership and working within large multidiscipline teams technical: experienced in plc and ideally scada controls experience of formal engineering and design control processes experience of class submissions essential self managerial: experience in ms project advantageous
