the engineer would be involved in electrical engineering, procurement, manufacture and test of vessel based equipment. the role will be as a part of a larger multi-discipline project team, and will include responsibility for discreet work packages. main duties and responsibilities:
design of electrical systems preparation of design and installation specificationspreparation of manuals and procedurespreparation of design calculationsmanufacture, testing and commissioning supportdesign of power distribution systems onboard ships to support equipment installations
qualifications and educationgeneral education: specified qualifications for position: university graduate in a relevant discipline continuing professional development: can articulate learning and training experiences
experiencegeneral: experience of ship construction practices advantageous technical: experienced of 230v and 440v power distribution and control experience of signal cabling practices experience of formal engineering and design control processes self managerial: able to prioritise and plan own workload
