My client is a multidiscipline engineering, geomatics and planning consulting firm with offices in major centers throughout western canada. we are currently seeking a transportation planner to join our calgary transportation team; currently completing the calgary ring road and west lrt projects. responsibilities reporting to senior manager, transportation planning you will:· work with a team of transportation professionals.
· work with your team to ensure your team provides exceptional service to clients relating to transportation planning services, including transportation master plan studies; functional planning studies; public engagement facilitation; traffic impact studies; environmental assessments for transportation facilities; parking studies; traffic data collection and analysis; traffic calming studies; safety assessments; and transportation study peer reviews.
· prepare documentation related to current or prospective projects; including reports, cost estimates, proposals and specifications.
· support business development efforts
· prepare transportation planning reports and drawings to support the preparation of engineering detailed design.
· manage transportation planning projects.
requirements as the ideal candidate you:· have 10+ years' related experience in transportation planning.
· have a p.eng. (appega eligible) or equivalent accreditation in a related professional field.
· have experience with transportation modeling, analysis and design software.
· have experience with multi-firm, multi-office and multi-disciplinary projects.
· have good oral and written communication expertise which is complemented with a keen eye for detail and project management skills.
· work well in teams.
