Description:
My client requires the services of a capable and experienced naval architect with experience in the design and build of offshore construction / installation vessels. Input into the general construction of their four brand new state of the art vessels will be ongoing.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the individual will be competent and able to work on their own initiative as well as play a vital role in a rapidly expanding team.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Conceptual through to detailed vessel design
- Part of construction management team
- Support to projects in way of:
- Load cases
- Strength
- Operations
- Sea fastenings
The successful candidate should be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have experience to include design; specifically intact and damage stability, structures, model testing, hydrodynamics and certification. Additionally, project input / support will include vessel selection, inspection, load and stability checks and flexible installation. Construction and inspection experience is also required.
